Do I need an Attorney to start my business?
It depends on the nature of your business and the factors that are unique to your business.
There are three legal types of business you can start and these are:
- Sole Proprietorship. The easiest business formation. No requirement to register your business with your state. No paperwork required unless the nature of your business requires a business license.
- Partnerships / LLCs. These business formations must be registered in your state. Documents must be completed like LLC operating agreement or partnership agreement. Most states allow you to register online with the appropriate documents.
- Corporations / S Corporations. These business formations must also be registered in your state. Bylaws and other documents must be prepared and is more complicated therefore it is a good idea to use an attorney.
No matter what your business formation needs, Compton Law Firm, P.C., has the experience to help your business with the complicated matters of our Federal Government.
